Battlezone Edinburgh Airsoft

Battlezone Edinburgh is run by Battlezone Paintball, which also has venues at Yarm, Newcastle and Durham. The site is 60 acres of woodland at Dolphinton Burn Woodlands, beside the M90 near South Queensferry; the nearest postcode, EH29 9EN, takes you to Royal Elizabeth Yard, then turn round and head west across the M90. It is UKARA registered and has a growing airsoft area with several game zones and an on-site shop selling ammo and gas. Airsoft walk-on days run every other Sunday: the site opens at 08:30 for chrono and set-up and games start at 10:00. Walk-ons must be booked and paid in advance, with a higher price for turning up on the day, and need at least 10 players to go ahead. Equipment hire is a separate walk-on option and sells out. A Battlezone Edinburgh airsoft membership saves £5 on walk-on fees, and members who play three walk-ons over at least 56 days can apply for UKARA through the site. For groups, two-hour sessions start at 09:00, 11:30 or 14:00 and include an M4-style rifle, an anti-fog mask and three magazines of BBs, for a minimum of 10 players. The minimum age is 12. Online bookings carry a 3% fee, or 4% by phone.
