Fife Wargames runs airsoft at Cairngreen Wood, near Cupar in Fife, on about 100 acres of mixed forest, scrub and plantation with a quarry. Open game days run every other Sunday: gates open at 9am, guns must be chronographed by 9:45am and the last game finishes at 4pm. Booking is essential and there are no walk-ons. The green fee is £25 with your own kit, or £40.50 with an electric rifle, battery, magazine and face mask on hire. The on-site shop sells BBs, gas, smokes, flashbangs and new and second-hand guns. There is no food on site, so bring lunch and water; the nearest food is in Cupar and Pitscottie. Players can be 12 or older; under 12s need an adult on site all day and 13 to 17 year olds must be signed in by an adult. After three games over two months, adult players can be UKARA registered free of charge.

Power limitsFull-auto capable guns 1.13J (350 fps with 0.2g). Guns locked to single shot 2.3J (500 fps with 0.2g) with a 25m minimum engagement distance and a sidearm.
ChronoAny gun not yet chronographed must be tested before it can be used.
Eye and face protectionEye protection on at all times outside the safe zone. Under 18s must wear a full face mask.
