Tokyo Marui is holding the Tokyo Marui Festival 2026 at Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo on 31 October and 1 November 2026. Entry is free, according to the company's event page.
The festival runs on the ground floor of Bellesalle Akihabara. On Saturday 31 October it is open from 10:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:45. On Sunday 1 November it runs from 10:00 to 16:30, with last entry at 16:15.
Visitors who want to handle replicas restricted to over 18s must bring identification. Under 18s may not touch those replicas. Bags will be checked at the door, and queuing from the day before is not allowed.
What is on
The programme covers new products and products still in development, with a corner set aside for each. There are reserved test ranges for the FPR MK 4 Evolt RS and for the Type 20 gas blowback rifle, which went on sale on 5 August.
Collaboration ranges cover Resident Evil and the anime Lycoris Recoil, both series Tokyo Marui has worked with on replica designs. There is a handling corner where visitors can pick up replicas, and safety lessons led by Hiro Soga and Takeo Ishii.
A milsim introduction corner is aimed at visitors who are new to the style of play. There is also an exhibition linked to several titles, including Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online II, Scavengers: Another Sky and Hot Spring Shark, as well as a virtual reality milsim experience, merchandise and illustrations from the Girls and Airsoft Guns series, now in its tenth version.
Tokyo Marui has said it will publish news of new products on 31 October through its official accounts on X and Bluesky.
Why it matters
Tokyo Marui is one of the best known replica makers in Japan, and its product announcements set the tone for much of the market. Many of its electric and gas designs have become standards that other makers copy or build parts for. A new product reveal at the festival can affect what players around the world buy in the following year.
The safety lessons and the milsim introduction show a focus on new players. In Japan, as in the UK, the hobby depends on keeping a good public image, and an event in a busy shopping district like Akihabara is a chance to show the public what airsoft is.
What it means for UK players
Few UK players will travel to Tokyo for the festival, but the announcements matter here too. Tokyo Marui products reach the UK through importers, and the new models revealed on 31 October are likely to appear in British shops during 2027. We will report on the announcements once they are published.
