EMG has released the KS-1, a licensed Knight's Armament electric rifle. Airsoft Milsim News reported the release on 7 April 2026. The KS-1 is part of a new KS series that EMG is offering in several barrel lengths.

The rifle

The KS-1 has a licensed Knight's Armament receiver with the maker's roll marks. The bolt release, fire selector and magazine release are all ambidextrous. The stock is EMG's own SIGMA design, which gives access to the battery. The flash hider is compatible with eHUB muzzle units.

Inside, the KS-1 has a 330mm brass inner barrel with a 6.03mm bore and a rotary hop up. The gearbox is a WELLPRO high speed unit, which EMG rates at 30 rounds per second. The spring can be changed quickly, so owners can set the rifle to different sites' power limits.

The handguard is a 12.75 inch URX6 made from polymer. It has M-LOK slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions.

No price was given in the release report.

Knight's Armament

Knight's Armament Company is an American maker based in Florida, known for the SR-25 rifle, the Quad Rail and a range of suppressors and accessories. Its URX handguards are used on a number of real rifles, and its parts appear on many American special operations builds that players copy.

A quick change spring lets an owner remove and replace the main spring without taking the gearbox apart. Players who play at different sites, or who move between indoor and outdoor games, can fit a lighter spring for close quarters and a heavier one outdoors. They should always chronograph the rifle after a change, because the result depends on the barrel, the hop and the pellet weight as well as the spring.

What it means for players

A rate of fire of 30 rounds per second is high. Many sites cap rate of fire or limit full auto indoors, and some apply lower power limits to high rate guns. Players should check their site's rules, and may wish to run the rifle in semi auto where full auto is restricted.

The licensed receiver and markings will appeal to players who build Knight's Armament based loadouts. EMG has said the KS series comes in several barrel lengths, so there should be a choice for close quarters and woodland use. In the UK, any realistic replica must be bought with a valid defence, such as being a regular skirmisher at an insured site.
