KinetiXx has launched the X-TEMP PRO, a tactical glove built for cool weather. The launch was reported by Airsoft Milsim News on 30/09/2026.

KinetiXx says the X-TEMP PRO fills the gap between its unlined gloves and its heavy winter gloves. It is meant for spring and autumn, when an unlined glove is too cold and a full winter glove is too bulky to handle a trigger, a magazine or a radio. The company is aiming it at law enforcement and military users as well as at airsoft players.

What it is made of

The back of the glove is made from a breathable, wind resistant fabric that dries quickly, with a fleece lining for warmth. The palm is hair sheep leather treated to repel water, and the fingertips and the strips between the fingers, known as fourchettes, are leather too. The crotch of the thumb is reinforced, as this is where gloves usually wear first on anyone who handles a rifle.

The cuff is neoprene and closes with hook and loop and a leather tab. There are stretch zones to help the glove move with the hand. The thumb, index and middle fingers work on touchscreens, and a pull loop on the cuff doubles as a point to clip the gloves to a carabiner.

The X-TEMP PRO comes in black or Coyote. No price was given in the release we have seen.

What it means for players

The UK airsoft season does not really stop in winter, and the months either side of it are often the wettest. Cold hands make it harder to change magazines, work a pistol or use a radio, and gloves that are too thick make the problem worse. A thin lined glove with a leather palm is a sensible middle ground for British weather.

Gloves also matter for safety. Hand hits from BBs can be painful at close range, and many sites recommend or require gloves, especially for younger players. A leather palm and fingers protect better than fabric alone.

The touchscreen fingers will be useful for players who rely on phone apps for team communication or for tuning their replicas. Whether they work reliably in the rain is something only use in the field will show.

What happens next

We expect the X-TEMP PRO to reach retailers through the autumn. As with any glove, fit varies between brands, so players should try a pair on before buying a set for the whole team. We will report back on how they wear after a winter of use.
