PTS releases TPM POP magazine shells

PTS Syndicate has released TPM POP translucent magazine shells in blue, green and orange, which fit the EPM M4 and TPM AR magazines but not the EPM1.

PTS Syndicate has released a set of coloured replacement shells for its magazines under the name TPM POP. The release was reported by Airsoft Milsim News on 30/08/2026, and the shells are available now.

The TPM POP shells are translucent outer cases in three colours: blue, green and orange. They are sold as shells only, without the internal feed parts, so players fit them to magazines they already own.

PTS says the shells fit its EPM M4 magazine for electric rifles and its TPM AR magazine. They do not fit the EPM1, which uses a different body. Players should check which PTS magazine they have before buying.

PTS Syndicate is a company that designs and licenses airsoft products, and its EPM range of polymer magazines has been popular with M4 users for years. A translucent shell is not a new idea in itself, but a coloured one is less common in a market where most magazines are black, tan or grey.

Why colour matters

The obvious use is to see how many rounds are left at a glance, which a translucent shell already allows. The colour adds a second use. Players who run more than one type of ammunition, such as tracer BBs or different weights, can mark their magazines by colour. Some players will simply want to tell their own magazines apart from a teammate's after a game, when everything ends up in one pile in the safe zone.

There is also a practical point about lost kit. A black magazine dropped in a woodland field in November is very hard to find. A bright orange one has a much better chance of being picked up at the end of the day.

The other side

Some players and some event organisers prefer kit that looks like the real thing, and brightly coloured magazines will not suit every loadout. At milsim events with authenticity rules, players should check whether coloured magazines are allowed before using them.

No prices were given in the release we have seen, so we cannot say how a set of shells compares with buying new magazines. We will add prices if PTS confirms them.

What happens next

Accessory releases like this tend to arrive in shops quickly. For players who already own a stack of EPM M4 or TPM AR magazines, the shells offer a cheap way to organise them without buying anything new inside. We expect more colours to follow if the first three sell well, but PTS has not said so.
