The World Airsoft Games 2026 were held from 24 to 28 March at twofour54 in Al Samha, Abu Dhabi. Sixty teams from more than 20 countries competed in two divisions, Speedsoft and Tactical Airsoft. Union of Belgium won Speedsoft, and Rush of the United Kingdom won the Tactical division.

The results

In Speedsoft, Union finished first, ahead of Legion in second place. Rush from the UK took third. The UAE team Zero Hour Hunters finished tenth.

In Tactical Airsoft, Rush took first place. Beta FBI from Kazakhstan finished second and Merkut from Turkey third. Among the home teams, Predators UAE came fifth, Zero Hour Hunters ninth and Level Zero Riders tenth.

Rush therefore won one division and finished on the podium in the other, the strongest result of any team at the event.

Falah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the UAE Airsoft Federation, thanked the teams, the audience and the sponsors for the success of the event, according to the organiser's media office. Before the event, the organiser listed a total prize pool of US$280,000.

World Airsoft Games 2027

The organiser has confirmed that the 2027 games will be held in Al Ain, in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a prize pool of AED 1,000,000. Each division will pay US$115,000 across the top ten teams. First place takes US$30,000, second US$25,000 and third US$20,000. Fourth place takes US$10,000, and fifth to tenth take US$5,000 each.

Teams play as squads of five. In Speedsoft, energy is limited to between 0.9 and 1 joule. In Tactical, the limit is 1.4 joules. Both divisions are semi automatic only. Registration is open.

What it means for players

The World Airsoft Games are one of the few airsoft competitions with prize money on this scale. The 2026 results show that European teams can win there, and a UK team leaving with a title and a podium place will give British competitive players a reason to look at the 2027 event.

Teams thinking of entering should note the semi automatic rule and the energy limits, which are lower than at many UK skirmish sites for some classes of gun. They should also check the rules on bringing replicas into the UAE, which has its own import rules, and plan travel and kit transport well in advance. We will report the 2027 registration details and the full rules as the organiser publishes them.
